October 2025: GBMCC in the movies! "Pillion" Premier

Back in 2024, the GBMCC was invited by Elemental Pictures to take part in the shooting of "Pillion", a new film starring Alexander Skarsgard and Harry Melling, with a supporting performance by Jake Shears of the Scissor Sisters, and the brainchild of up and coming director Harry Lighton.

Pillion is based on the Adam Mars-Jones novel "Box Hill" which explores the dynamics of a socially-taboo relationship between the two main characters, one of whom is a biker who commands respect within his social circles, and the other (his pillion), who is more demure and submissive.

Fast forward to 2025 and with production of the film concluded, club members who were involved with the film were invited to the UK premier at London Southbank's BFI theatre.  Those with slightly bigger roles were even invited to join the stars on the red carpet!

We all had a fantastic night hanging out with the cast and crew, and of course the film was absolutely top-notch in the way it told the kind of story not often seen in mainstream cinema.  We were all very proud to be representing the club and bringing a little visibility of our biking community to the big screen!

Pillion goes on general release at UK cinemas on 28 November 2025 (with additional dates for release across Europe and the United States).
