- Area reps do not have a limitation on the number of consecutive terms they can serve
- The positions of Chair, Secretary, Treasurer, Membership, International require a minimum period of 2-years of active club membership to stand, due to their access to sensitive, personal information
- Ideally the position of treasurer should have finance experience, or similar (i.e. Budget manager)
- Voting for national officer positions will be carried out by an election call to all members in advance of the AGM. A 2-week call for nominations, followed by 2-week voting period. Results of that ballot will be announced at the AGM
- Voting for area reps will be open only to area members. Results also announced at AGM
- Chosen area reps will automatically become committee members.
- Any committee member can step down at any time short of their 3-year term if needed and an immediate election will be carried out for a replacement
- The elected replacement from a mid-term vote will complete the term of the person they replace, but it will not count as 1 of any applicable consecutive terms’ restriction. For example. If Events Officer steps down after 18 months, their replacement will serve the remaining 18 months and can still stand for that post 2 more times
- A mid-term vote for a committee member position with an incumbent can be called during their term of office provided, minimum 10% of the relevant membership, (national for national officer, region for area rep) will add their name to that call which should be sent to the Chair and the Secretary
- Should a national officer finish 2 terms and no-one steps forward to run for the role, they will be invited to remain in post for another year and the post will be open again at the next voting cycle.
- The committee shall have the power to make, amend and repeal rules for the conduct of its business.

Amendment Of The Rules
- These rules or any item may be added to, amended or repealed at any general meeting provided that the proposed alteration shall be notified to members at the time of notification of the meeting. A majority of 60% of those paid-up members voting shall be required to make alterations of these rules.
